IT Resume Workshop
Step 1: Download Template
Start with a clean, ATS-safe template so you can focus on content (organization, quantification, iteration) — not formatting.
Downloads
Grab the core assets for this workshop. Use the template as your base, then refine it across the next steps.
Resume Template
ATS-friendly, clean formatting, easy to edit.
Example Resume (Sanitized)
A reference example you can compare against while you build your own.
Quick note
Keep formatting simple: no columns, no graphics, no icons. Your advantage comes from structure and content — not design.
How to use the template
- Download the DOCX template and save a copy with your name (e.g., Jake_Hulberg_Resume.docx).
- Fill in your basic sections quickly (don’t overthink wording yet).
- As you go through Steps 2–10, keep iterating and tightening. Expect multiple passes.
- Export to PDF only at the end (final step), not while you’re still drafting.
What you’ll have by the end of this step
- A clean resume file you’ll build on throughout the workshop
- An example resume to benchmark structure and density
